Using Xerox Cloud Print

Xerox® Workplace Cloud delivers authentication, print management, cost control and mobility workflows. This platform is ideal for accounts that want to reduce local network infrastructure or manage printers across multiple locations and networks. It is easy to set up and use, and because it is hosted in the cloud, all updates and patches are managed by Xerox. This frees up your IT resources, while maintaining the maximum security aspects you would expect.

Setting up Xerox Cloud Print:

  1. You must beable to reach xwc.services.xerox.com

    • if you cannot reach this link please check your internet firewall or consult with your IT.

  2. Have the @printbyxerox app on your xerox devices home screen.

  3. Your computer user account must have the ability to install the xerox cloud client and printer queue.

  4. Works on all VersaLink and AltaLink devices.

  5. This is more advanced tutorial allowing you to print using the cloud printer.

  6. Using this method allows for easy printing via a computer, alternatively if you completed registration you can use your mobile device to send an email with the attachments you want printed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and it should be on the Xerox device app queue once you sign in.

1. Open your internet browser application and go to https://xwc.services.xerox.com or click on the image below.

2. Once loaded into the xerox cloud portal click on "Create User Account".

3. Enter your email address and click submit.

4. When asked for your company code please enter "PUBLIC" unless stated otherwise by your IT or Xerox support.

5. You should receive an email with your temporary password, please check your spam folder as well. Click OK to proceed.

6. Enter your temporary password and your new desired password then click submit.

7. You will be redirected to the Xerox cloud login portal screen, click login.

Important Notice!

After creating an account you can now send any print jobs / attachments you want to print via the xerox cloud app by emailing the attached to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and signing in at your xerox device on the @printbyxerox app.

8. Once you logged into your cloud dashboard click on Desktop tab.

9. Please either click on the Windows or Mac links according to your operating system this will download the cloud print client to your computer.

Important Notice!

Do not close this window as you will need to return here later. and for the rest of this tutorial we are following a windows setup process.

10. You should see the download in your browsers download list see example below, click on it to start the install process, please follow the on screen instructions.

11. After the application has installed you should see the xerox cloud client icon in the task bar area under your hidden items, right click on the icon and click on log in.

12. A popup will ask you to enter you login, enter you email address.

13. Then enter your xerox cloud password.

14. Please return to this windows and click on the "Generic Printer link indicated below.

15. This will download the Xerox generic printer install file to your computer, please check your downloads as before and click on it to run the application.

16. This will start the install process and you will be notified when the process is complete.

17. Now if you navigate to your printer list, you should see the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. printer.
